Chill Series Report:
Chicopee kicked off their 2009 Chill Series last Thursday and Meltdown’s bringing you all the action. Check back every week for news recaps, photos, videos, standings and more!
Opening night saw 32 competitors spread across four divisions; Juniors, Intermediates, Seniors and Program Riders. One by one the skiers and snowboarders dropped in, in hopes to impress the judges.
In the end it came down to six riders, one of whom would be crowned ‘rider of the night’. Juniors Adam and Eric Botterman stood alongside intermediates Daniel Gilbota, Max Moffatt and seniors Nicholas Patano and Kyle Boegel. It was a very close decision between Danny G and Nick P. When it was all said and done, Nicholas Patano was the one who went home with a brand new pair of Electric Goggles.
We’ll see you all again next Thursday, and if you wish to get a little more practice in, come out and ride with the Meltdown Army every Sunday from noon till 3pm at Chicopee. Ride and film with Meltdown Snowboard Shop’s own local pro team and pick up some new tips and tricks along the way!
